Life, for me, has truly and steadily gotten better and more enjoyable as I've gotten older, and I started out pretty damn happy and when I was 49, and in the last decade I've moved across to the USA, written so many articles and blogs and also a book I also did start consulting two new businesses, traveled in fifteen countries of Europe, met amazing people there and had lots of fun.
Once you cross your fifties, not only are you more mature to things, but, the knowledge of those things is better. Through this one can find more enjoyment in all that one does and sees and thinks. By this age you are well aware of the world and universe as it is to all. Having this in you, there is a sense of being able to do things better through this understanding. Your foundation in life is solid, thus, one can begin to really enjoy the ride which one has created for thyself over the previous years.
In a way you going from knowledge to that of true wisdom about all that you come in contact with. Through this, things seem to not get to you like they use to do. One has learned to enjoy all that is in this world and universe; as a whole part of thyself. I feel that we all begin to become one with all that makes up the universe /world at this age. From here you grow into a new realm never known before and wanted fully by you at this time. Basically, one is on solid ground at this age and beyond.
I would say that people over 40 can actually enjoy life more. Why? Because they have been through more and they've gained confidence. Their kids are older and they may have more freedom. They've climbed up in their jobs and may have more financial independence. They don't need to impress people anymore. The key is taking care of yourself so that you can still enjoy yourself as you get older. If you aren't physically fit, you can't have fun!
Even more fun for as with me the children were nearly grown and since I had tried adulthood and found that it sucked I determined to be a kid for the rest of my life. It has been a wonderful adventure full of hitchhiking, meeting wonderful people, doing the things I enjoy. Life is amazing if you make it, make sure you are as youthful as possible. Old people can be boring and lame hence why it’s not a good thing to look forward to. Also when someone says “Grow old gracefully”, well that’s what they all say, it’s typical of someone expiring. But when someone dies, someone is born.
But do you want to be in an old people’s home, staring out a window after taking anti- depressants ? You could just ignore it and get old gracefully, it technically doesn’t make a difference as it’s inevitable plus you can just ignore it. But come to think of it, it sucks. I imagine the imprint of being young happened so that’s a nice cherishing thought to savour for yourself.
And if you could go back in time which you probably could, let’s get scientific now, was you young, are you young, will you be young? It’s that dimensional thought that’s interesting. I know they say time moves forward, but let’s rewind.
